Warranty Policy - General

All Francesca Pieces come with a three (3) month manufacturing warranty (watches have a twelve (12) month manufacturing warranty), which covers faults and defects present from the manufacturing process, where there is no evidence of damage.

Not covered under manufacturing warranty:
- Accidental damage or loss
- Stretched, bent or broken chains/chain links
- Bent rings/bent prongs or claws on rings
- Peeling, chip/dented or scratched surfaces
- Discolouration, fading, tarnish, peeling, chipped, dented or scratched surfaces
- Bent/broken earring posts/clasps through wear and tear
- Alterations or repairs completed by persons other than Francesca

By purchasing from Francesca you are agreeing to all terms and warranties as these are a condition of sale, and are compliant with Australian consumer law.

Replacement or repair is at the sole discretion of Francesca. When a good is repaired under the original contractual warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.

Watch Warranty

Your Francesca watch is a Japanese quartz movement, stainless steel casing and 3ATM water resistance.

Your Francesca watch comes with a twelve (12) month manufacturing warranty. The warranty does not cover damage to internal or external components due to contact with water, accidental scratching, dents or broken glass due to wear and tear.

Your Francesca watch is 3ATM, which means they can only be subjected to light splashes or moisture. We advise against wearing the watch during activities such as showering and swimming. The warranty will be voided in the case a third party performed repair works on the item.

Charm & Soldering Warranty

Charms must be added to a Francesca Create base to ensure your warranty is valid. If a charm is attached to a piece outside of the Francesca Create collection, this voids the warranty on both items.

A Francesca staff member will secure it to your piece at request. Alternatively you can find the instructions on how to attach in our FAQ 'Attaching & Adjusting'. If at any stage you see a gap in the 'jumpring' fastening your charm to your piece, please contact us on Live Chat, or pop into a store to have this tightened.

Soldered Charms
No returns or exchanges on soldered pieces. Soldered pieces incur a 5-6 business days processing time. Francesca 3 month warranty applies. Product may differ slightly from online preview - only charms within the soldering collection may be added (only available through our Create App online, not available in stores). The soldering link is gold-filled and will therefore be a slightly darker gold from the chain. Please note chain links may twist whilst wearing.

Locket & Etch - Warranty & Terms

ETCH:
2-3 business days processing time - engraving may slightly differ from the preview. Fine hairline scratches may be present after engraving. Emojis/symbols cannot be engraved.

If wearing with other charms, scratching may occur - this is not covered by warranty.

Francesca is not responsible for the editing of your submitted images for Illustrate pieces, our team will engrave your piece as per your uploaded request. Font sizes are edited at our discretion for best fit on Etch pieces unless stated otherwise.

LOCKETS:
1-2 business days processing time.

One complimentary print for all lockets placed online (your photos must be uploaded at time of purchase). Additional images can be purchased on the website.

Images for Box and Locket are printed black & white, on glossy 200gsm photo paper.

By purchasing with a photo, you agree to Francesca staff members viewing the photo.

Lockets cannot be added to Francesca Bracelets. Manufacturing warranty only valid for jewellery (lockets and chains), not valid on images provided.

If adding this Locket onto a chain with other charms, scratching may occur - this is not covered by warranty.

LOCKETS ARE NOT WATERPROOF. Please do not wear your locket in water as this will damage your photos.

Francesca does not accept the submission of sexually explicit or distressing images, or profane language for our Locket and Etch collections.

Consumer Law

All goods purchased from this website come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

The goods will not be of acceptable quality if such goods:

(a) are not fit for all the purposes for which goods of that kind are commonly supplied;
(b) are not acceptable in appearance and finish;
(c) have defects;
(d) are unsafe; or
(e) are not durable.

Subject to any rights you may have under the non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we may impose fees payable by you in relation to any repair/service not covered by the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or the three month limited warranty.

The three month limited warranty excludes, to the extent permitted by law, damage due to ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accident, abuse, alteration, substitution, improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than us or our authorised repairers, theft, disappearance, loss (including lost stones) or any other type of use causing deterioration.

To the extent permitted by law (including Australian Consumer Law), Francesca reserves the sole right to judge whether or not an item of jewellery has been subject to ordinary wear and tear.

When a good is repaired under the original contractual warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.
