Warranty Policy - General

By purchasing from Francesca you are agreeing to all terms and warranties as advised on our website - these are a condition of sale and are compliant with Australian consumer law.

All Francesca pieces come with a warranty of three (3) months. Our Noir and watch ranges have a warranty of twelve (12) months. Our warranty is only valid if the jewellery is proven by our independent jewellers to be defective due to the manufacturing process. Your Francesca warranty does not cover loss, changes in appearance, gradual degradation, damage, breakage due to wear and tear or improper use or storage of your jewellery. Replacement or repair is at the sole discretion of Francesca. When a good is repaired under the original contractual warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.

Watch Warranty

Your Francesca watch is a Japanese quartz movement, stainless steel casing and 5ATM water resistance. Your Francesca watch comes with a one (1) year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents including scratching, bouncing, falling, or normal wear and tear. Please note that the warranty does not cover colour change due to general wear and tear, defects of internal or external components due to contact with water.

Your Francesca watch is 5ATM, which means they can only be subjected to light splashes or moisture. We advise against wearing the watch during activities such as showering and swimming; events in which the watch can be exposed to more than minor splashes. The warranty will be voided in the case a third party performed repair works on the item.

Charm Warranty

If you are buying a charm please note that it must be added to a Francesca Create base piece to ensure your warranty is valid. A Francesca staff member will secure it to your piece at request. Alternatively you can find the instructions on how to attach in our FAQ 'Attaching & Adjusting'. If at any stage you see a gap in the jumpring fastening your charm to your piece, please contact us or pop into a store to have this tightened.

Please note that loss of charm and colour change are not covered under your warranty. If a charm is pattached to a piece outside of the Francesca Create collection, this voids the warranty on both items.

Locket & Etch - Warranty & Terms

ETCH:
Allow 2-3 business days for us to process your piece. May differ from the preview. Fine hairline scratches may be present after engraving. Emojis/symbols cannot be engraved.
If wearing with other charms, scratching may occur - this is not covered by warranty.

LOCKETS:
Allow 2-3 business days for us to process your piece.
We offer one complimentary photo printing for all lockets placed online. By purchasing your locket with a photo you agree to Francesca staff members viewing the photo. Chosen images will only be printed for the box and locket, no extra copies will be provided.

Images for Box and Locket are printed black & white, on glossy 200gsm photo paper.

Lockets (EXCLUDING the Behold Heart Locket) cannot be added to Francesca Create Bracelets or any other bracelets within our collection. Warranty only valid for jewellery (lockets and chains), not valid on images provided.

If adding this Locket onto a chain with other charms, scratching may occur - this is not covered by warranty.

LOCKETS ARE NOT WATERPROOF. Please do not wear your locket in water as this will damage your photos.

Noir Warranty

Our Noir pieces (diamonds and solid gold) have a warranty of twelve (12) months. Our warranty is only valid if the jewellery is proven by our independent jewellers to be defective due to the manufacturing process.

Consumer Law

All goods purchased from this website come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

The goods will not be of acceptable quality if such goods:

(a) are not fit for all the purposes for which goods of that kind are commonly supplied;
(b) are not acceptable in appearance and finish;
(c) have defects;
(d) are unsafe; or
(e) are not durable.

Subject to any rights you may have under the non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we may impose fees payable by you in relation to any repair/service not covered by the guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or the three month limited warranty.

The three month limited warranty excludes, to the extent permitted by law, damage due to ordinary wear and tear, misuse, accident, abuse, alteration, substitution, improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than us or our authorised repairers, theft, disappearance, loss (including lost stones) or any other type of use causing deterioration.

To the extent permitted by law (including Australian Consumer Law), Francesca reserves the sole right to judge whether or not an item of jewellery has been subject to ordinary wear and tear.

When a good is repaired under the original contractual warranty term, only the remaining term of the original contractual warranty will continue to apply.
